Walt Disney World
EPCOT
- Disney has been carefully installing “points of light” across the face of Spaceship Earth for the past several weeks and now, we have an up-close look at some of the fixtures themselves
- Pavement has been filled in all around the site of the currently-under-construction popcorn stand, with a clear sidewalk curving out from Creations Shop
- Five weeks ago, scaffolding was erected for roof maintenance throughout Living With the Land at EPCOT but thankfully, the scaffolding is now gone and the attraction is back to its former glory, with sunlight streaming in to the horticulture boat ride
- It’s been a while since we checked in on construction in the center of EPCOT, which will soon be known as the World Celebration neighborhood, so join us in a look at the current state of the project
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- It’s a pretty big day from Disney’s Animal Kingdom, as we see the (modified) return of one of the resort’s most popular live shows, “Festival of the Lion King,” in this most recent photo report
- A new Moana inspired sand sculpture is under construction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom to celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month
Disney Springs
- As part of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, Walt Disney World has several special offerings this month and we stopped by Morimoto Asia in Disney Springs to try their special menu
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- Walt Disney World is currently casting internally for “signature services” Cast Members for the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel
Other Walt Disney World News
- When Walt Disney World reopened last year, some Cast Members were required to wear face shields, depending on their position and proximity to guests but now this rule has been rolled back slightly and Cast Members in some outdoor positions are no longer required to wear face shields
- Walt Disney World has a job posting for a seasonal fireworks and special effects designer and though no announcements have been made, this may point to the return of fireworks shows to Walt Disney World theme parks
- The repainting of the EPCOT / World Center Drive entrance archway continues at Walt Disney World as workers are now concentrating on the arch that spans the road
Disneyland Resort
- We are merrily on our way to Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride at Disneyland where the ride reopened with physical distancing guidelines and limited queue space inside the building
Disney Cruise Line
- Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge aboard the Disney Wish cruise ship will feature a widescreen viewport that will give guests a view of planets and starships from the Star Wars universe, including the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, Razor Crest, Starspeeder 3000, and more
Entertainment and Media
- Disenchanted, the long-awaited sequel to 2007’s Enchanted, will begin filming soon in Ireland
- Marvel seems confident in the upcoming Eternals feature film and according to Screen Rant, a sequel is already in the works
