1401 Flower Street Walt Disney Imagineering Building Will Remain After Move to Florida

The Walt Disney Company will be relocating about 2,000 jobs from California to a new campus Lake Nona, Florida. These include Walt Disney Imagineers, leaving some wondering what would happen to the main Imagineering building in California.

New York Times reporter Brooks Barnes confirmed via Twitter that the building would remain open, as would some Imaginers.

While the move may be good for Disney, many in the Lake Nona region are worried about the effect it will have on the local housing market.

  1. It’s a valid concern to worry about considering other parts of Florida had the same concern when New Yorkers and Californians moved in and it did indeed hurt the housing market. Still does atm. However, no one to blame but the greedy Floridians that oversold their properties 2 to 3 times the property’s true value.
