In its first-ever update, Mickey’s PhilharMagic will soon have a new Coco scene.

The musical number “Un Poco Loco” will anchor the new scene when it opens to guests at Disney California Adventure and Disneyland Paris on July 17, before being added to Magic Kingdom Park later this year during the Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th anniversary celebration, which begins October 1.

With Donald Duck invading the world of Coco, this marks the first time Disney and Pixar animators have worked on a creative endeavor where characters from both animation studios will be seen together on screen.

One of Coco‘s original composers, Germain Franco, will be producing a score unique to the attraction for the scene.

According to Disney Parks Blog, all of the show’s current musical numbers will remain when this scene is added.

  1. Awesome! I’m glad they’re keeping all the original scenes as well, the show is pretty short as is and happy to see some love for this attraction! So rare to see something that was likely designed to be updated actually updated.

  2. Wow! This decision feels kind of random, but PhilharMargic is one of my favorite shows, so I’m happy to see it get a new scene, especially if all the existing scenes will remain.

  3. This is such a travesty! How dare they do this to a beloved classic attraction! I am so deeply offended, I am canceling my vacation and my Disney plus subscription! Then I’m going into my daughters bedroom and throwing all her Disney stuffed animals into the garbage! Nah just kidding I think it’s a cool idea.

  4. Sounds like a fun change.Did they say when it would close? Going August 22nd. Hoping it will be open.
