New ‘Flight of the Navigator’ Movie Coming to Disney+

A new, reimagined “Flight of the Navigator” movie is coming to Disney+, reports Deadline. The film is set to reboot the 1986 classic with a female lead.

Bryce Dallas Howard (“Pete’s Dragon,” “Jurassic World”) has been tapped to direct the new film. Howard has previously directed two episodes of “The Mandalorian” and an episode of the upcoming “The Book of Boba Fett” for Disney+. No release date has been announced for the new film.

Fans of the original movie can still find a reference at the Magic Kingdom, as the Coca-Cola Cool Ship in Tomorrowland features a rocket prop from “The Flight of the Navigator” on the roof.
