PHOTOS: New Brick-Patterned Pavement Revealed on Walkway to Mickey’s Toontown at Disneyland

Construction walls are down on the first section of the walkway to Mickey’s Toontown at Disneyland, revealing a peculiar sight.

Rather than matching the brickwork in Fantasyland, the walkway is now a reddish-brown pavement pressed into a brick pattern.

Above, you can see how the patterns differ by the edge of the new pavement.

Previously, the pavement was a very dark gray, as evidenced in this photo from roughly two weeks ago:

While it seems to clash with its surroundings in Fantasyland, the new pattern seems to better reflect the municipal theme of Toontown. Hopefully, with Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway coming down the line, this whimsical area gets to look its best very soon.
