Fans of Disney’s Photo Pass Service in the Disneyland Resort have a new central location to view and purchase photos, as well as link the service to their passes, called Photo Concierge.
The Photo Concierge is located in the esplanade between Disneyland and Disney California Adventure at the Newsstand.
A sign lets guests know that any Photo Pass Service needs can be handled at this location.
Kiosks are lined up in front with all the Photo Pass Service options, along with Cast Members nearby to answer any questions.
Sadly, Photo Concierge will be replacing the long-time Disneyland staple of the Main Street Photo Supply Co.
While the store had been open in some form or another since the early days of Disneyland, it will now become a memory of yesterday as more guests continue to view and download photos digitally through their phones and handheld devices.
Their famous slogan “A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words,” remains for now. This location is rumored to be a new merchandise shop going forward.
Meanwhile, in Disney California Adventure, a similar story is playing out with Kingswell Camera Shop.
The Elysian Arcade entrance still has the shop’s name on its registry.
Once inside the arcade, it is a different story as construction walls block off access to the shop.
Another sign, like the one over on Main Street, U.S.A. lets guests know about the aforementioned Photo Concierge location.
