REVIEW: New Oogie Boogie Macaron from Fiddler, Fifer, & Practical Café Tastes Better Than It Looks at Disney California Adventure

Well, well, well, what have we here? We finally got our hands on the new Oogie Boogie Macaron available at Disney California Adventure’s Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Café for Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort. Only 48 macarons are available per day, and they go fast.

Oogie Boogie Macaron – $5.99

Black macaron filled with green apple buttercream, caramel, brownies, cookie crumb dust, and gummy candy

This macaron looks disgusting, but thankfully it doesn’t taste disgusting. That being said, it does have a lot going on.

Once you wrap your head around the different flavors and textures, it’s actually enjoyable. We feel like it would have been better if they had chosen just one direction for it: either the dirt pie with chocolate and gummy worms, or the green apple buttercream, or the caramel.

The macaron is also a lot of sugar for the morning, but because these are so limited, you have to grab it for breakfast to have a chance to try it.

Overall, it’s not a bad treat, but not our favorite available during Halloween Time.
