Disneyland Resort is famous for its hand-dipped corn dogs, but Corn Dog Castle at Disney California Adventure also serves up cheese sticks fried in the same delicious batter. For Halloween in 2019, the pepper-jack cheese stick made a limited time appearance. It was advertised as a different version than previous years, with raspberry sauce and no extra toppings. However, we received the same type of cheese stick as in 2019.

The sign at Corn Dog Castle lists the incorrect ingredients.
The cheese stick itself is unremarkable, but all of the toppings really bring it together. The sweet pineapple and blackberry combined well with the pickled Serrano for a slightly spicy, slightly sweet dish that just makes you want more corn dogs. It’s not fantastic, and the classic corn dogs are much better, but it makes a nice change if you want to switch things up.
