Bill Murray Will Reportedly Make MCU Debut in ‘Ant Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’

Veteran comedic actor Bill Murray may be set to make an appearance in an upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe project.

According to Variety, Murray let slip that he worked on a Marvel project. He never mentioned “Ant Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” by name, but talked about working with the film’s director Peyton Reed. Murray made the comments to a German newspaper while promoting another film he’s appearing in.

Variety reports that the 71-year-old actor’s appearance won’t be a recurring role. He told the German newspaper that he doesn’t “need to experience it a second time” when asked if he regretted working on a superhero film.

This is the third installment in the “Ant Man” series. Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, and Michelle Pfeiffer are all returning to their roles from the first two films. Kathryn Newton will play a grown-up version of Scott Lang’s daughter Cassie, & Jonathon Majors will play the main villain, Kang the Conqueror.

“Ant Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” was one of several upcoming MCU films that had release dates pushed back last week. It is now set to be released in theaters July 28, 2023.
