It wasn’t too long ago that Guests staying at Disney hotels received complimentary parking, but those days are long gone in the Bob Chapek and Josh D’Amaro era. Now the Disneyland Resort hotels have quietly increased the fee to park to an even higher premium of at least $35 per day to park at the resort’s three hotels, 40% more than the old $25 per day self-park fee. This change is happening alongside an announced parking fee increase for theme park guests.
According to the Disneyland Resort website, Guests can now expect to pay $35 per day to self-park at the Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel—$10 more than the old rate, and the same as the old valet parking rate. Oversized parking will now increase to $40 from $30, and valet parking will see the largest increase, moving up to $50 from the previous $35 fee.

You see the true face of the modern day Walt Disney Company when it is significantly raising theme park parking, yet providing no trams “until 2022”, whenever that may be. Pay more in the meantime and now walk 2/3 of a mile each way to your car. Not many companies that could get away with this ever diminishing value proposition to guests.
