REVIEW: New Pumpkin Brittle is a Delicious Halloween Treat at Candy Palace in Disneyland

The Halloween season has brought plenty of sweet and savory treats to Disneyland, but if you love the taste of pumpkin, head to Candy Palace on Main Street, U.S.A.!

This new pumpkin brittle is now available, featuring pumpkin seeds, nutmeg, and cinnamon.

While Disney initially claimed that this would be in bakery cases around the Disneyland Resort, it’s actually bagged. It’s still baked fresh in the Candy Kitchen, but they bag it up onsite and put it on racks and shelves because it doesn’t need refrigeration.

This brittle is fantastic, and perfect for Halloween.

It’s delicately spiced so as not to overpower the eater with a mouthful of cinnamon like so many other pumpkin brittles. And the sweetness isn’t heavy-handed either, being just sweet enough for a treat without being obnoxious about it.

This allows the embedded pumpkin seeds to shine through as the chief flavor, which is really nice for those who enjoy pumpkin seeds.

For us, the flavor of fresh roasted pumpkin seeds is a Halloween tradition when carving Jack-o’-lanterns, so this brittle really is a Halloween treat rather than the combination of cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice that makes up the pumpkin pie spice used at Thanksgiving, which is what many “pumpkin” treats lean heavily on.

This brittle is a treat not to be missed at Halloweentime, or any time throughout the season.

The brittle retails for $12.49, and is available through October 31st.
