- It seems likely that New Year’s Eve fireworks will return to the Walt Disney World Resort this year following park hours updates released last week.
- In the latest installment of Disney-speak, distanced indoor meet-and-greets are now called “sightings” at Walt Disney World.
- A list of potential upcoming Funko POP! figures was revealed today that included several possible Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary figures.
Disneyland Resort
- A new report suggests that parking lot trams will finally return to the Disneyland Resort in early 2022.
- Prices for park tickets and parking at the Disneyland Resort have been raised by as high as 20%, with a new sixth tier of park ticket also now on sale.
- The highest tier of Magic Key annual passports, the Dream Key, is now “sold out”.
- We spotted the first Lightning Lane sign go up at the Disneyland Resort today, at Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
- Disneyland has already returned to 80% of its pre-pandemic staffing, and expects to be fully staffed by the end of 2021.
- In yet another price incready by The Walt Disney Company, Disneyland Resort Hotel Guests will now pay 40% more per night to park at the hotels.
Tokyo Disney Resort
- Tokyo Disneyland held the resort’s first-ever hard ticket event today, called Halloween Morning. We were there to review it, and felt like there was too little effort put in for too much cost.
- But we did spot plenty of amazing costumed Guests at the park, which you can check out the highlights of!
Disney Cruise Line
- Filming has begun for the Avengers: Quantum Encounter dining experience aboard the Disney Wish, with Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Brie Larson, and Anthony Mackie all reprising their roles.
New Merchandise
- We spotted a new set of Dooney and Bourke “Walt’s Holiday Lodge” collection bags at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort today.
- You can adorn your bag with charms representing Dole Whips, Magic Carpets, and the PeopleMover with new charms we found at Sir Mickey’s in the Magic Kingdom.
- We also caught a new 50th Anniversary light-up bow featuring Minnie Mouse at the Magic Kingdom.
- A new Ahsoka Tano Mickey ears headband has landed at Walt Disney World.
- You can bring home the spirit of Italy with new apparel and a wine glass available at EPCOT.
- A new trilogy of Star Wars scrunchies have landed at Disney Springs to give your hair that galaxy far, far away look!
- If you’re looking to add that retro touch to your Starbucks tumbler collection, a new vintage-style ceramic tumbler has arrived at the Disneyland Resort.
- A new Star Wars Spirit Jersey is now available at Disneyland to keep you warm through the chilly winter months.
Other News
- The Centers for Disease Control and President Biden have announced the eased international travel restrictions first disclosed last month which include lifting individual country bans and requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination for travel.
- The Walt Disney Company employees have reportedly already began searching for homes in Lake Nona, Florida ahead of the move of Walt Disney Imagineering to the Orlando suburb.
