Disney+ gained only 2.1 million subscribers in the fourth quarter of 2021, a significant slow in growth from previous quarters. It was slowing this summer as well.
The streaming service has a total of 118.1 million paid subscribers worldwide as of October 2. Wall Street analysts had expected Disney+ to reach approximately 126.2 million by the end of the quarter.
Disney is no doubt hoping for a boost in numbers this quarter with Disney+ Day on Friday, November 12.
