Will Ryan, the Voice Behind Willie the Giant, Peg-Leg Pete, and More, Passes Away at 72

Will Ryan, a prolific voice actor who worked on many Disney projects, has passed away at age 72, reports Deadline.

Originally a musician, Ryan began voice acting in the 1980s for “The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin.” He would go on to work on 100 titles with various studios, including Disney.

Disney fans may best recognize him as the voice of Willie the Giant, who he played for over 35 years. His most recent work was reprising the role for “Mickey Mouse Funhouse.”

He also provided the voices for Rabbit and Tigger in “Welcome to Pooh Corner.”

  1. I don’t understand why this was a d23 announcement, was he attending the festivities and then had a heart attack on stage or did they announce it during “in memory of”segment like they do at the Oscar’s
