Though we’re a long way from showtime, the El CapiTOON Theater is beginning to take shape as construction continues on Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disneyland.

The latest milestone has been reached, as construction has begun on the theater’s marquee.

Right now, it’s just a collection of metal framework, but from the right angle, it’s possible to see the marquee’s early form. Luckily, concept art of the theater is on the construction walls below for easy comparison.

A cherry picker is staged at the site to aid in construction.

To the right of the marquee, more of the attraction’s façade is being constructed.

Metal can be seen on the building’s exterior.

All in all, it looks like Mickey’s Toontown will have a new marquee attraction soon! (Pun very much intended.)
