YouTube TV Restoring Access to Some Disney Channels and Recordings After Reaching Agreement

Disney and Google had not reached an agreement by Friday regarding Disney content on YouTube TV, so it was all pulled from the service yesterday. They have reached a new agreement in the last 24-hours, though, and some content will be restored.

YouTube TV tweeted, “We’re happy to announce that we’ve reached a deal with Disney and have already started to restore access to channels like ESPN and FX, and Disney recordings that were previously in your Library. Your local ABC station will also be turning on throughout the day.”

Originally, YouTube TV was going to be lowering their monthly price by $15, but the price will revert back to $64.99. Impacted users will still receive a one-time $15 discount though.

It seems not all Disney content will be back, however. YouTube TV previously included Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Freeform, and National Geographic, but only FX and ESPN were officially announced to be returning.
