REVIEW: Delicious New Fried ‘Tamales’ Are One of Disney California Adventure’s Finest Snacks

¡Hola! Even though all eyes are on the food coming to Disney California Adventure ahead of the park’s Lunar New Year festival, the newly-refreshed menu at Studio Catering Co. also had a surprising new snack that we just had to try on our visit!

Fried “Tamales” – $8.49

Masa stuffed with Chicken, Fried and topped with Salsa Verde, Sour Cream, Pickled Onions and Cotija Cheese

These little fried balls of tamale are absolutely fantastic. The breading on the outside is extra crispy and delicious, but still made with the same flour you would expect in a tamale.

The green chili salsa and the chicken pair perfectly for a not-too-spicy bit of Chile flavor.

This is one of the better dishes we’ve had at Disney California Adventure recently and we’ll definitely be returning for it.
