River Shake – $8.99

Blue Raspberry Shake with Chocolate Cookie Crumbles, flavor-filled Boba, Whipped Cream, and Gummy Candy

This shake is interesting. Imagine your favorite vanilla In-N-Out shake got together with your favorite blue raspberry candy from the 90s, and this is what we have. But wait; you’re enjoying your blue raspberry shake, and then there is a random pop of cherry boba followed with a chunk of chocolate cookie (Oreo) from the bottom. There are also gummy bears that turn hard if you don’t eat them right away.

There’s just a lot going on here. If you’re adventurous, then go for it. If you enjoy blue raspberry, you’ll likely enjoy this. It’s weirdly not too sweet but none of the flavors mix well together. There is gummy bear, then blue raspberry, then cherry boba, then chocolate cookie. The boba and cookies keep getting stuck in the straw which is slightly annoying. Overall, it’s an interesting twist on blue raspberry; but unless you’re a huge blue razz fan, you can probably skip this shake which is going through a bit of an identity crisis.

Apple Pie Moonshine – $12

Moonshine Whiskey with Apple Cider, Apple Juice, and hints of Vanilla

This is boozy. And you get your money’s worth for $12. It’s not undrinkable but it’s not for the faint of heart.

Mix well before drinking so all the flavors can meld together. First note is moonshine but it finishes with the apple cider.

The vanilla isn’t very prevalent but it’s okay. Overall, we’d get this again as it would be very refreshing on a hot day.

The apples and moonshine are a great pairing. If you don’t like hard alcohol or apples, then skip this but otherwise, it’s worth a try for something new at Disney California Adventure.
