REVIEW: Strawberry Sweetheart Tea is a Sweet, Slushy Valentine’s Day Treat at Disneyland Park

The season of love is approaching once again, and Disneyland Resort is ready to go with a new Strawberry Sweetheart Tea at the Red Rose Taverne in Fantasyland. But this concoction may not exactly be what you’d expect from the name!

Strawberry Sweetheart Tea – $6.49

Black Tea, with Lemon sweetened with Strawberries

We were rather shocked at first when the Cast Member handed us a frozen slush rather than an actual tea, nowhere in the menu or the description is that implied. But this is California, who needs hot drinks?

It’s a rather decent portion as well.

Essentially, it tastes like frozen sweet tea mixed with strawberry purée, we could hardly detect any lemon flavor at all. Shame too, because the acidity would’ve helped cut the almost-overwhelming sweetness. The freshness of the purée is a nice touch, all in all it’s just a tad too sweet for some of our tastes.

It’s a fun Valentine’s Day themed drink that many will enjoy nonetheless, especially if you like sweet tea and strawberries or festive slushy drinks on the sweeter side.

If you want to try the new Strawberry Sweetheart Tea, you can head on over to the Red Rose Taverne in Fantasyland at Disneyland Park, and let us know what you think in the comments below!
