Chapek Agrees To Look Into Bringing Back the Disneyland and Walt Disney World Combination Premier Annual Pass

During the shareholder Question and Answer segment, a shareholder from New Mexico asked CEO Bob Chapek to bring back the Premier Annual Pass.

The Premier Annual Pass, which did not return after the pandemic, allowed the holder to access the resorts on both coasts. It was an annual pass that worked at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort in California.

Chapek thanked the shareholder for his enthusiasm and suggestion, noting that the shareholder belonged to a “unique small club of people who can” buy and use a pass for Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

Chapek promised the shareholder he would look into bringing it back.

  1. YES! I miss my Premier AP. Even with all the trouble in getting the applicable discounts correctly applied, I still want it back. One price and one expiration date does help. And it was a real, physical, plastic card. Not the paper ticket Magic Key pass that can be printed out.

  2. Yeah, that’s the way to cater to the 1% fans Chapeck, rather than bring back things like park merchandise delivery to hotel room, opening the rest of the attractions and restaurants and the other things that made Disney World magical and fun. The prices on the new APs have almost doubled since last year and the perks/services and value have been halved. Universal is looking better and better these days.

  3. In 2014, our last trip to Disney World we upgraded our Disneyland “Premium” top tier pass to the Premiere. At the time our Disneyland pass was about a month old and cost $700. It was $300 per pass to upgrade but considering we were in Disney World for a full 7 days and this included all parks, water parks, AP discounts and discounted rates for all other activities (renting the boats on Seven Seas Lagoon), overall this was a decent sized savings.
Now we are going back to Disney World in a few months and our 7 day park hopper tickets are going to be $2,000 for the 3 of us, and that does not include the water parks or any discounts on food or merch. So yes I say bring it back!!!!

  4. I had an annual pass but gave it up to be a caregiver in 2019. Then covid happened. We have two trips planned to WDW with it the next year. If it comes back, great. If it doesn’t we’ll be spending our money at Universal.

  5. Not in the slightest. We had it for many years, but when it came time to renew in February of 2020, the price was now actually a pure rip-off. It was more expensive than buying the Disneyland Signature Plus along with the Gold Pass in WDW.

It was cheaper and easier to manage having two different passes that reflected your visitations to both parks. Unless you lived in southern California and went to WDW at least 3 weeks a year, during the busiest times of the year, it was far cheaper to get the cheapest WDW passes.

That price raise before they killed it off was a test to see if people would buy something they didn’t need.

  6. I became a WDW Passholder during the pandemic when they cancelled my Premier Pass because DLR was closed. They need to bring Premier Pass back. I love being able to visit both DLR and WDW and have the same perks at all the parks with my AP. I also like to visit all the parks and have my AP discounts for merch, dining and parking this was the reason I became a Premiwr Passholder when I moved to the East Coast for a job promotion.

  7. Wow, I didn’t think my. Family was in a small select group. Most of our friends had the C To C Passports before Covid. I want them back! Along. With a reasonable fast pass system.

  8. We would love to see this. We were Premier AP holders. We have WDW passes now. We were waiting for the Premier pass to come back and we missed out on getting Disneyland passes before they stopped selling them. Right now only Club 33 members can get the Premier pass.

  9. Yes. I miss the Premier Passport for both WDW and Disneyland Parks. We bought when they first came out (was @ $750). And then again one of the times we went back to Florida. That was before prices went out of sight and I couldn’t justify no matter what I did. And believe me I tried to make it make sense…. Think they need to offer it again, at a reasonable price?!?!?!

  10. It’s always been an unnecessary luxury to carry a pass. And it was always wonderful to upgrade it for our FL trips to carry a “Premier Passport”. I would love to have it back. Disney is Disney, every price increase or change is generally easily seen in a new ride or upgrade somewhere. I’ve adored visiting both coast for the parks and have continually carried top tier can’t wait for this to hopefully come back. :)
