Belligerent Guest Refuses to Let Disneyland Parking Lot Tram Leave After Others Cut Him in Line

In a video shared by an anonymous Disneyland Resort guest, another guest refused to let a parking lot tram leave at the end of the night because another couple apparently cut him and his wife in line.

The guest, standing next to the tram, refused to move behind the yellow line after the other couple boarded. Trams will not move until all waiting guests are behind the yellow line for safety, so the tram was stuck as the guest yelled and swore at other guests.

Guests aboard the tram yelled at the unmoving guest, at one point chanting “back it up.” He frequently told the crowd to “shut the h*** up” and flipped them off. He finally moved behind the yellow line after the other couple left the tram and also went behind the yellow line. He continued to argue with guests on the tram, however, and one guest, angry at how he was speaking, left the tram to confront him. Thankfully, a physical fight did not break out and the second guest returned to his seat.

According to the guest filming the incident, security asked the guest to leave after they stopped recording and he responded, “No problem, I don’t want to cause any trouble.”

  1. The guest was upset because Bob Chapek is monetizing the tram. The couple in front had lightening lane access via the Genie app.

  2. Disney do not do anything about line jumpers. That man stood for himself and people joked about it. Who are the bad guys here? Not that man.

  3. Guy in red shirt: GIRS

I know there’s no way to prove that I was there that night, but I was on this tram when this happened.

The GIRS was mostly upset because he was told by a cast member “No more boarding”, but another cast member let another couple on after that was announced. That couple wasn’t “cutting the line” but a cast member had allowed them to board.

So this apparently was his way of protesting the unfair treatment by not getting behind the yellow line. The couple that got on afterwards was sitting in front of me, and they offered GIRS their seat, but he said he didn’t want it, he was doing it for the principle. So they got off the tram (1:40 on the YT video). We were still unable to leave because security was paged immediately when the GIRS refused to step behind the yellow line. Even the tram driver stepped outside to wait. During that time GIRS insulted a bunch of people. The guy that confronted GIRS, I believe was upset that GIRS had insulted his wife or family or something.

Eventually another tram pulled in front of ours so that other people could board. We departed shortly after that.
