Disney Points to Genie+ and ‘More Favorable Guests’ as Reasons Behind Revenue Increase

Disney Parks, Experiences and Products made a total revenue of $6.7 billion in the second quarter of 2022. Disney points to Genie+ and “more favorable guests” as driving factors behind the revenue increase from previous quarters.

Disney reiterated what they said last quarter, which is that their domestic parks have seen a “more favorable guest and ticket mix.” Genie+, which guests can purchase as an add-on for $15, as well as an increase in ticket prices, also contributed to this quarter’s revenue increase.

CEO Bob Chapek also commented on how these factors have contributed to the large increase in per capita guest spending.
