Every Movie & TV Announcement from the Studio Showcases at D23 Expo 2022

We’ve rounded up everything you need to know from the Studio Showcases showing off the latest in Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel, and more!

All Disney movies starting next year will receive a brand-new “100 Years of Wonder” intro before the movie begins.

Disney Animation

“Wish” will be a look into the story of the mythical and fabled wishing star, and will release next November from Walt Disney Animation Studios.

Iwájú will be Disney’s first collaboration with an outside studio, set in futuristic Nigeria and co-produced with a pan-African animation studio.

Disney Live-Action

We now have even more details on the upcoming “Haunted Mansion” movie, including some plot details and new cast.

Those anxiously awaiting the “Snow White” remake now only need to wait until 2024, and we got a look at the film’s logo.

A teaser debuted for the upcoming “The Little Mermaid” remake opening in theaters next year.

A special “live-action” prequel was announced for “The Lion King” entitled “Mufasa: The Lion King” which will release in 2024.

The “Peter Pan” remake set to debut on Disney+ next year “Peter Pan and Wendy” got a poster reveal.

It’s almost time to return to the world of “Enchanted”, with its sequel “Disenchanted” also getting a poster ahead of its Disney+ debut.

And finally, the trailer also finally dropped for “Hocus Pocus 2” which lands on Disney+ this Halloween.


We got our first look into the world of Pixar’s first original series “Win or Lose” which will debut on Disney+.

Pixar’s next feature after “Elemental” will be a sci-fi romp called “Elio” releasing in 2024, and we have a basic plot outline and cast!

Speaking of “Elemental”, we got a first real look at the two protagonists as well as a teaser poster.

It was also confirmed that a sequel is in development for “Inside Out”, but no release date was given.

Star Wars

“Andor” releases in just under two weeks, and its final trailer dropped during the Expo.

We finally have a trailer for season 3 of “The Mandalorian” which drops next year.

Season 2 of “The Bad Batch” got an early January premiere date.

We got a first look at Jude Law in the upcoming “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew” series.

There was also a first look at Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren in “Star Wars: Ahsoka

With “Tales of the Jedi” set to debut in October, we finally got a trailer for the upcoming series.


New footage debuted of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”.

We also got a sneak peek at “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania”.

A Broadway star was cast as The Hood in “Ironheart”, and we got a logo reveal as well.

Marvel announced a new “Werewolf By Night” Halloween special starring Gael García Bernal and dropped a trailer and poster to accompany.

The first trailer dropped today for “Secret Invasion”.

Details and a new logo were revealed about the upcoming “Armor Wars” sneak peek.

Ke Huy Quan joined the cast of ‘Loki’ for season 2.

As we previously reported, “WandaVision” director Matt Shakman is indeed going to helm the “Fantastic Four” film.

The cast for the upcoming “Thunderbolts” was revealed, with big names on including Sebastian Stan, Florence Pugh, and David Harbour.
