PHOTOS, VIDEO: ‘World of Color – Season of Light’ Returns to Disneyland Resort With MagicBand+ Interactions

At Disney California Adventure, “World of Color – Season of Light,” ever prone to multi-year absences, has finally returned for the first time since 2019 to the waters of Paradise Bay!

Like the regular World of Color, Season of Light is a hydrotechnic show that utilizes water screens, lasers, lighting, and more in synchronization with music. The songs featured aren’t all Disney songs, but they play to a “clip show” of Disney movies.

In this special overlay to the classic show, over 120 characters from 30 Disney/Pixar films help celebrate the season and what makes the holidays so special.

After debuting in 2016, this show ran in the 2017 and 2019 holiday seasons. It replaced World of Color: Winter Dreams, which debuted in 2013.

The show features iconic Christmas songs like “Deck the Halls,” “Feliz Navidad,” “Joy to the World,” “Blue Christmas,” and more.

Pyrotechnics are also used. The Pixar Pal-A-Round and Incredicoaster are incorporated into the background lighting.

If you’re wearing a MagicBand+ during the show, the band will light up and vibrate to match the performance.

A specific “World of Color” MagicBand+ is even available.
