Disneyland has no shortage of amazing funnel cakes, but this one really has to be in the upper echelons.
The funnel cake itself is a known commodity; it’s basically the same no matter where you have it. But it becomes a tableau for the toppings to work their artistry upon. In this case, the cold brew sauce is the star. It brings that roasted, dark flavor to the light, fried cake. In fact, it’s more coffee flavored than many of the cold brews we have had throughout the resort for the holidays. This allows the coffee notes to shine through and take center stage.
Supporting the coffee flavors are the rich chocolate sauce and the delicate pop of peppermint from the candy canes crushed on top, which come together in one cohesive dessert dish that we will be talking about for a long time to come.
The holiday season at Disneyland runs from November 11 through January 8.
