*NEW* Southern Mac ‘n Cheese – $8.50
Cajun-style Mac & Cheese with Andouille Sausage and Spiced Panko Crunch

This was a bit of a letdown. It’s rather run-of-the-mill, like a normal macaroni salad that someone accidentally dumped some lackluster Cajun seasoning into. Our particular serving seemed to be reheated and dried out, though it was still plenty oily. In fact, the oil soaked through our serving tray and bled onto the table beneath.

The andouille sausage doesn’t really combine with the overall dish as well as we would hope. Having recently tried the creamy mac and cheese from A Twist on Tradition, we were disappointed, and this is not the mac and cheese we will be returning to.
Braised Pork Belly Adobo – $8.00
Garlic Fried Rice with Braised Pork Belly, Chicharron Pieces, and Green Onions

This dish, returning from 2019 with a price decrease of $0.50, has good garlic flavor, but the rice is a bit crunchy, and the pork rinds taste a bit stale.

The overall note of the dish is garlic. We found the pork flakes and falls apart easily.

While the rich fatty parts did help with the flavor and moisture, this wasn’t our favorite of the festival. However, if you love pork belly, you’d probably be happy with this.
*NEW* Ceylon Splash – $6.50
Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co.® Ceylon Black Tea, Passion Fruit Juice, Coconut Syrup, and Calamansi Purée, garnished with an edible Purple Orchid

We were a little put off by this one at first, thinking it was a juice drink with tea, but it’s more of a tea drink with juice. It’s waterier than we would expect as a juice, but as a fluffed-up tea, it’s right on par.

It tastes very much like a Christmas memory because of the tea and citrus notes together. The coconut syrup and calamansi are not entirely lost, but definitely subdued. Overall, we enjoyed this drink well enough, but wouldn’t probably return for more.
*NEW* Huckleberry Sake Sangria – $15.00
Merlot, Sake, Huckleberry Syrup, Orange Juice, and Cinnamon Syrup, topped with Sparkling Water and garnished with an Orange Wheel

This is a light, Southern California twist on a traditional mulled wine. The rice wine characteristic of the sake brings a unique twist to a traditional sangria, and the huckleberry works well with the Merlot wine to create a deep, red fruit flavor for the base.

The addition of cinnamon syrup makes this wine a perfect Christmastime treat.
