Pizza and a classic sandwich collide in the French Onion Dip Pizza, now available at Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta in Disney California Adventure for Disney 100 Years of Wonder! But are some things better left alone? Read on for our review!

French Onion Dip Pizza – $8.99 for a Slice, $43.99 for a Whole Pie

Mozzarella, Gruyère, Caramelized Onion, and sliced Roast Beef served with a side of Beef Au Jus

Given the combination of flavors, we weren’t sure about this, it could have gone either way. Luckily, it was fantastic and we were pleasantly surprised. This is a great pizza slice!

The caramelized onions break down almost into a sauce that’s sweet and gooey, with just enough roasted savory qualities to work as a pizza topping. The beef was a little too salty, as was the au jus. Individually, they aren’t too bad, but when combining a bite of beef dipped in the au jus, it can be just a tad overwhelming.

Despite the saltiness, all of the flavors worked well together and made this pizza a surprising hit.

Also joining the menu at Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta is the Lemon Chiffon Pie, which we reviewed when it premiered at Hungry Bear Restaurant in Disneyland earlier this month.
