Magic Kingdom

• Disney Vacation Club Members will be able to preview TRON Lightcycle / Run from March 4-6, 2023. Registration opens at 11 a.m. tomorrow.

EPCOT

• The Muppets have shared a new video on Twitter of Gonzo and Walter riding Journey Into Imagination with Figment at EPCOT. 
• After a three-year closure, Akoya Pearls reopened today in the Japan Pavilion of EPCOT.
• The first character topiaries have arrived at EPCOT ahead of the 2023 International Flower & Garden Festival.
• The first Global Garden has also been erected in preparation for the International Flower & Garden Festival.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

• Chip and Dale are now appearing in their Rescue Rangers outfits for a permanent meet-and-greet at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Walt Disney World Resort Hotels

• A commercial development that may include a shopping center, restaurants, and a hotel is being developed for land near Disney’s All-Star Resorts, according to Orlando Business Journal.

New Merchandise

• Images of an upcoming Disney100 “Up” house LEGO set have leaked online a few months before their expected release. 
• New Ariel-inspired merchandise has arrived at Walt Disney World this week, including an accent light, throw pillow, and keychain inspired by “The Little Mermaid”.
• A new pullover hoodie featuring vintage photos of Walt Disney World Resort is available as part of the 50th anniversary Vault Collection.
• A new Lotso plush Loungefly purse is available at Walt Disney World. We found the Lots-o’-Huggin’ Bear bag in the Creations Shop at EPCOT.

Other Walt Disney World News

• Breeze Airways will begin nonstop routes between John Wayne Airport and Orlando International Airport, allowing guests to travel between Walt Disney World and Disneyland with one-way flights in each direction starting at $69.
• Union negotiations resumed today, but were quickly soured as Walt Disney World representatives reportedly refused to offer ‘even one cent’ more to its cast members.
• Walt Disney World Cast Members have raised more than $9.3K for the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando, earning these VoluntEARS the top fundraising spot once again.

Disneyland Resort

• Inspired by an original concept of Imagineer Marc Davis, Disneyland Resort has added a ‘Bat in a Birdcage’ to The Haunted Mansion following a recent refurbishment.
• Moon Girl from Marvel’s “Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur” is now greeting guests in Hollywood Land at Disney California Adventure, and we were on hand for the very first greeting.
• Moon Girl’s arrival was celebrated with a one-time “Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur” cavalcade featuring the cast of the new animated series.
• A one-time-only Moon Girl stage show also took place today at Disney California Adventure.

Entertainment and Media

• A new sneak peek of the live-action adaptation of “The Little Mermaid” has been released by Disney, featuring Melissa McCarthy as Ursula.

The Walt Disney Company

• Good Morning America visited Disney100: The Exhibition at The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia a few days ahead of its opening and shared the first look at the lifelike Walt Disney hologram that will greet guests.
