The Eggstravaganza Easter Egg Hunt has reimagined Disney characters as Easter Eggs and scattered them throughout the Disneyland Resort! We’ve already covered every hidden egg at Disneyland Park and stopped by to complete the egg hunt at Disney California Adventure, so let’s see if we can spot each of the character eggs within the Downtown Disney District!
The 2023 Eggstravaganza is happening across Disneyland Resort from March 13 through April 9, 2023. Guests can pick up their game boards and stickers for $9.99 and have fun searching high and low for Disney characters in Easter egg form.
As each “egg” character is spotted, the sticker of that character can be placed in the corresponding location on the game board. Whether or not you decide to complete the Eggstravaganza, each game board can be returned for one of six collectible character keepsake eggs.
This year’s lineup of character eggs hidden throughout the Downtown Disney District includes Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Woody, Jessie, Chip ‘n Dale, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, Pluto, Thumper, and the White Rabbit. Let’s get our egg hunt on!
Donald Duck – World of Disney
We begin our hunt for Disney character-inspired Easter eggs at the same spot we grabbed our game board! Donald Duck can be spotted right above a wall of mugs within the World of Disney shop in Downtown Disney.
Pluto – Curl Surf
The Pluto Easter egg is channeling good vibes, spending the 2023 Eggstravaganza inside the storefront window of the Curl Surf shop.
Mickey Mouse – The Disney Dress Shop
With an egg as fancy as this Mickey Mouse, we were happy to see his formalwear fitting right in at the Disney Dress Shop. The Mickey Easter egg is being displayed on a white shelf near Disney100 merchandise.
Minnie Mouse – Marcelline’s Confectionary
The Minnie Mouse egg is hidden above some sweet treats inside Marcelline’s Confectionary.
Woody – Pelé Soccer
This year, “Toy Story” Sheriff Woody is positioned among the kid’s soccer jerseys within the Pelé Soccer store.
The White Rabbit – Lovepop
Nearby, The white, silver, and red features of the White Rabbit-inspired egg fit right in with the branding of lovepop.
Goofy – Tortilla Jo’s
A tip of the sombrero to the beloved Goofy. His 2023 Eggstravaganza hiding spot is above and behind the Tortilla Jo’s sign, nesting on top of the pergola.
Thumper – Lamp Post Planter
Lamp Post Planter is a pretty vague location listed on the Eggstravaganza map. We were lucky enough to find Thumper in the planters near Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen, though, crossing one more hidden Disney egg off our list.
Jessie – The LEGO Store
“Snow White, Cinderella, Belle, Jasmine..” Wait a minute! Jessie is channeling her inner Disney Princess as her egg is displayed among LEGO versions of Disney classic royalty in the glass case near the demo table at the LEGO Store.
Chip – Monorail
While Chip’s location is listed as “Monorail”, Pin Traders is a more precise landmark. Chip is easily spotted in the shrubbery outside.
Dale – Star Wars Trading Post
Dale may prove to be a bit more challenging than his chipmunk pal Chip. This Eggstravaganza egg is hidden in the camouflaged exterior of the Star Wars Trading Post.
Daisy Duck – ESPN Zone Building
Near the Disney100 Medallion, this Daisy Duck egg is hidden in the brush. Luckily, the pink features of the egg help it to stand out from the red and green leaves that hide it.
It looks like our 2023 Eggstravaganza game board for Downtown Disney is complete! We’ve found all of our favorite characters and matched their stickers with their new hidden locations.
Now it’s time for the hardest part of the challenge. Which 2023 Eggstravaganza prized character egg would you choose? Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Chip N’ Dale are all available choices. Guests can also purchase six gameboards to earn the whole collection of 2023 Eggstravaganza Character Keepsake Eggs. We stopped back into World of Disney to get another look at the prizes.
Special prize eggs are available this year, as well! For $14.99, guests can choose to pick up young Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa as part of the 2023 Eggstravaganza happening now across the Disneyland Resort.
