The Stanley Cup will be displayed for the second consecutive year at Downtown Disney District this weekend.
Disneyland Resort guests will be able to visit the trophy between Splitsville Luxury Lanes and Tortilla Jo’s on April 29 and 30, from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. each day. Guests can take photos with the Stanley Cup, as well as play air hockey. There will also be the chance to take home “unique ESPN keepsakes.”
The Stanley Cup Playoffs can be viewed live on ABC, ESPN, and ESPN+.
The Stanley Cup was available for a photo op last May.
Downtown Disney District
Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products President Josh D’Amaro announced the reimagining of Downtown Disney District at Destination D23 back in November 2021. The multi-year project aims to transform the outdoor shopping, dining, and entertainment district into a vibrant, open-air neighborhood that “reflects the best Southern California has to offer.” The new spaces set to be constructed are inspired by the mid-century space age look which was incredibly popular in California during the 1950s and 60s. A new Downtown Disney District logo was seemingly revealed when the above concept art was released.
A new grassy area will provide a space for guests to relax, similar to what was recently implemented in the reimagining of Mickey’s Toontown. There will also be space for events to be held in Downtown Disney District.
The improvements will also include a new pedestrian-friendly streetscape, a variety of new dining and shopping options, and enhanced entertainment experiences. The project is expected to be completed in phases over several years.
Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen is undergoing extensive refurbishment. WonderGround Gallery and Disney Home recently moved back into their permanent storefronts.
So far we’ve heard about plenty of new outlets, such as the award-winning Din Tai Fung, which serves Chinese food including bao buns, wontons, and more. Other outlets on the way include the beloved Porto’s Bakery and a new permanent home for Earl of Sandwich. Currently, a temporary Earl of Sandwich Tavern sits in the former home of La Brea Bakery, which will be the site of Porto’s in the near future.

For Earth Month, a photo spot featuring National Geographic is currently available next to the Star Wars Trading Post in Downtown Disney District.
