CONCEPT ART: Steamboat Willie Splash Pad Coming Soon to The Villas at Disneyland Hotel

Disney has shared concept art of a new Steamboat Willie splash pad that will open with The Villas at Disneyland Hotel later this year.

The Villas at Disneyland Hotel will have the new mid-century modern Palette Pool area, including the pool, Palm Breeze Bar, and splash pad.

A grayscale model of the “Steamboat Willie” boat will be in the center of the splash pad, with a figure of Mickey Mouse at the helm. Water features will include a waterfall, fog effects rising from the funnels, pop jets, and fountains. After the sun sets, the splash pad will be lit with vivid colors, transforming it from black and white.

The pool will be shaped like an artist’s palette with multicolored lounge areas nearby.

Palm Breeze Bar will have decor inspired by Disney Legend Mary Blair, known for her “it’s a small world” and Disney’s Contemporary Resort art.

The Villas at Disneyland Hotel is the fourth tower of the hotel, offering more than 340 rooms inspired by Disney Animation classics such as “The Jungle Book,” “Sleeping Beauty,” “The Princess and the Frog,” “Fantasia” and more.

Disney Vacation Club sales are available for all existing members and will open to the public on May 30. Existing Disney Vacation Club members can start making reservations now.

The Villas at Disneyland Hotel will begin welcoming guests on September 28, 2023.
