New Orange Bird, Mr. Toad, Tiana, and More Sketchbook Ear Hat Ornaments Premiere on shopDisney

A new series of sketchbook ear hat ornaments designed by artist Costa Alavezos is now available on the official shopDisney website, with plenty of time to spare before the holiday season. We have the full listings with prices, descriptions, photos, and details transcribed and explained below.

Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride Sketchbook Ear Hat Ornament – $24.99

The first ornament takes inspiration from the 1949 animated classic “The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad” — along with the Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride attraction, a 1955 opening day experience at Disneyland that still exists today. A second version at Magic Kingdom was also an opening day feature there, before closing its doors in 1998 and being replaced by The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

You’ll have a new mania to obsess over when collecting this arresting ear hat ornament created by artist Costa Alavezos. Styled after the motorcars in Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, J. Thaddeus Toad himself will take you on a frantic escape in his fully sculpted, spinning vehicle. Rat, Mole, MacBadger and the Prosecutor come along for the thrills.

Dimensions: 2 3/4” H x 3 1/4” W x 2 1/2” D

This Mr. Toad base can spin 360 degrees, and is the only one of the new products that can do so.

The bottom of each ornament features a Disney logo and namesake of Costa Alavezos. Every single item additionally includes a lobster claw clasp and satin ribbon for hanging.

Orange Bird Sketchbook Ear Hat Ornament – $24.99

This next citrus-centric bauble showcases Orange Bird, created by Disney in 1969 and introduced in 1971 as a mascot for the Florida Citrus Commission, now known in grocery stores across the country as Florida’s Natural.

Our little Orange Bird from the Sunshine Tree will make you happy when hanging this fully sculpted ear hat ornament from your favorite branch. Created by artist Costa Alavezos, the design’s base emits the refreshing scent of oranges so you’ll never have a day without sweet and sunny thoughts!

Luca is caught between worlds on this sculpted ear hat ornament with a translucent dome that shows the undersea side of the story. Luca’s friends Albert and Giulia are framed within the front ears while his sea monster parents take up the back.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be replacing Splash Mountain at Disneyland and Magic Kingdom, with construction already underway for an anticipated 2024 opening in Florida, and a May 30 finale for the original Splash in California.

Tiana’s fully sculpted gown makes up the dome of this ear hat ornament created by artist Costa Alavezos and inspired by Disney’s ‘The Princess and the Frog.’ Naveen, Louis, Dr. Facilier and Ray feature on front and back of the ears along with glittering faceted gems.
