New signage has been completed in San Fransokyo Square in Disney California Adventure Park. Much of the previously spotted scaffolding has also been taken down as the façade nears completion.
New Signs Completed at San Fransokyo Square
Signs continue to undergo changes at Pacific Wharf at Disney California Adventure in the Disneyland Resort. The land continues its theming transition to the City of San Fransokyo, from Disney’s 2014 animated film “Big Hero 6.” Construction is already well underway, and this most recent development shows continued progress on the project.
Much of the construction scaffolding has come down as changes on the Pacific Wharf signage continue to reach completion. Previously, the entire façade was covered with scaffolding to assist construction crew in the area’s transformation.
Last year at D23 Expo 2022, it was announced Pacific Wharf, a small mini-land of restaurants at Disney California Adventure based on San Francisco, would be reimagined to San Fransokyo, from “Big Hero 6.” Construction for the project officially began in January. No rides are being added to this area.

Right now, Pacific Wharf is considered by many as the park’s food court, with a number of restaurants residing in this small area. The transformation is expected to bring changes to this section of the park. It will include visual updates, but no new attractions.
A painted image of Mochi and Japanese lettering was added here just a week ago at the end of April. Mochi is the Japanese Bobtail cat that lives with Hiro and Cass in “Big Hero 6.”
Themed notices have been painted and attached to the main façade in other locations, too. The San Fransokyo Gate Bridge also recently reopened to guests following a several-week transformation.
No “Big Hero 6” attraction is currently planned for the area, but you can experience The Happy Ride with Baymax if you’re headed to Tokyo Disneyland.

Many changes have already been completed on this area’s façade.
Signs include promotions for the Wharfside Travel Agency, Pacific Seafoods, Bait & Tackle, Kruger’s Net Repair, Cocina Cucamonga and a The San Fransokyo Canning Company.
A few of the signs are still unfinished, and scaffolding remains in place to complete these pieces.
The new Port of San Fransokyo Cervecería draws inspiration from its tri-cultural influences with signage in English, Japanese, and Spanish. Outside will be a fun and inviting beer garden decorated with festoon lights and papel picado.
This sign was previously the “Pacific Wharf Canning Company.” Many changes are taking place to transform this area into the themed space for “Big Hero 6.”
The Pacific Wharf is a popular stop for guests to grab a bite to eat.
Japanese lettering was added to this Cast Member only location. It reads “Do Not Enter.”
The Japanese lettering below Boudin Bakery Tour reads: “Bakery Tour.”
