According to Mice Chat, the Disneyland Resort is currently testing out an audio-animatronic resembling Baby Groot from the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise.
Disney California Adventure has been conducting small group testing of this incredible little animatronic. The lucky participants have been invited to jam out with Groot as part of a special Guardians of the Galaxy Awesome Dance Off. This project has been in development for at least 2 years.
TechCruch also posted a behind-the-scenes video exploring Groot’s advanced free-walking design process, which Walt Disney Imagineering dubbed “Project Kiwi.”
