Soarin’ Around the World and Toy Story Midway Mania! at Disney California Adventure will both close for refurbishment in July 2023.

Soarin’ Around the World will be closed starting on July 5. It’s now scheduled to reopen on July 15. This IMAX film simulates hanggliding past iconic monuments and landmarks from around the world, including Mt. Kilimanjaro, the Taj Mahal, and the Eiffel Tower.

Toy Story Midway Mania!, the midway-style 4D game on Pixar Pier, will be closed starting on July 17. An exact reopening date is not available but it’s expected to reopen in mid-August.

Other upcoming Disneyland Resort refurbishments include Alice in Wonderland and the Disneyland Monorail. Alice in Wonderland will actually be closing for a second time as it closed briefly this month with Mr. Toad’s Wild ride and Peter Pan’s Flight.

The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure was also just closed for a short refurbishment.

Meanwhile, Splash Mountain permanently closed on May 31. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is expected to open in late 2024.
