REVIEW: Celebrate ‘Rogers: The Musical’ With New Patriotic Punch & Black Cherry Hard Tea at Disney California Adventure

Hollywood Lounge has introduced two new beverages to celebrate “Rogers: The Musical” debuting at the Hyperion Theater in Disney California Adventure.

There’s the alcoholic Blue Cherry Hard Tea and a non-alcoholic Patriotic Punch.

As always, alcoholic beverages at Disneyland Resort are served in yellow cups, while the non-alcoholic drinks are in clear cups.

Patriotic Punch – $6.49

Sprite and white cranberry juice with blue raspberry and cherry syrups topped with whipped cream (Non-alcoholic)

In contrast to the Red, White, & Blue Shake at Schmoozies!, this drink had too much going on. The flavors are fine on their own, but combined, it’s sickly sweet.

There was too much whipped cream, which adds to the sugar overload and immediately began melting into a huge mess. We don’t recommend this.

Blue Hard Cherry Tea – $17

Vodka, Gin, Rum, and Tequila with White Cranberry Juice and Blue Raspberry & Cherry Syrups

For some reason, we had to order and pay for this at Hollywood Lounge but walk over to Studio Catering Co. to pick it up.

The Blue Hard Cherry Tea (with no tea listed in the ingredients) tastes like a well-mixed tropical Long Island iced tea with blue raspberry and Sprite.

It’s on the sweeter side, but not as bad as the punch. We could not taste the alcohol. It was an average drink that we won’t go out of our way to buy again.

Plus, fan-favorites songs “Save The City” from the Disney+ series “Hawkeye” (written by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman), and “Star Spangled Man” from the film “Captain America: The First Avenger” (written by Alan Menken and David Zippel).
