VIDEO: Guest with Baby Wades in Pirates of the Caribbean Water Instead of Waiting for Evacuation at Disneyland

In the latest viral video of guests making poor choices at Disney Parks, a guest holding a baby waded through the water of Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland instead of waiting for Cast Members to evacuate them.

Guest with Baby Wades in Pirates of the Caribbean Water

TikTok user @_curlyliz_ shared a video of the guest walking through the water of the fort scene, set to a “My Heart Will Go On” instrumental. It’s clear Pirates of the Caribbean had malfunctioned and stopped — meaning Cast Members were preparing to evacuate guests, including one Cast Member in waders next to the first boat in the video.

Guests are required to remain in ride vehicles during attraction problems while they await Cast Members, who are trained on the safe and appropriate methods for evacuation. In addition to legitimate safety concerns, such as being directly in the middle of a show with electrical components and other unseen dangers in the water, an improper evacuation could also damage sensitive ride infrastructure and scenery.

In the video, the guest approaches a second boat, talking to another guest holding a baby. The second baby-holding guest then seems to exit the boat, following the first guest and leaving view. Another guest starts climbing over the seat backs to follow them.

Guest Incidents at Disney Parks

More and more guest incidents have been shared online in the past few years. The apparent increase in rule-breaking even led to Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort adding “courtesy” sections to their websites. The Walt Disney World message reads:

Be the magic you want to see in the world. You must always remember to treat others with respect, kindness and compassion. Those who can’t live up to this simple wish may be asked to leave Walt Disney World Resort.

At Disneyland Resort, a prohibited drone flew over Frontierland, a guest jumped onto a Lunar New Year cavalcade float, and another guest brought a sparkling firework into Disneyland for photos. Most recently, a guest who snuck into the park hid at Big Thunder Mountain Railroad to avoid arrest.

There have been several recent EPCOT incidents. A guest climbed into a planter with the Miss Piggy and Kermit topiariesanother shared a photo flashing her breasts in the park, multiple guests lounged in a France Pavilion fountain, a possibly inebriated person climbed out of her Gran Fiesta Tour boat to escape the ride, and yet another individual jumped out of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind during a temporary stop.

At Shanghai Disneyland, a guest was banned after refusing to stop smoking, berating a Cast Member, and then apparently collapsing on the street, forcing the cancellation of the “Mickey’s Storybook Express.” Even Tokyo Disneyland saw a guest removed after they laid down in the parade route.

In Magic Kingdom this past week, a fight broke out in Tomorrowland. It’s also not the first or worst brawl to occur at this park in recent months.
