Ravensburger has announced in a statement to ComicBook.com that the reprint of Disney Lorcana: The First Chapter will be available by the 2023 holidays in North America and by January 2024 in Europe. The reprint will also include the game’s upcoming second set, Rise of the Floodborn.

Disney Lorcana Reprint

Disney Lorcana was first available at Gen Con 2023 in early August. It was then released — with limited stock — to local game stores on August 18. It arrived at U.S. Disney Parks on Monday, August 28. At Walt Disney World, starter decks sold out within the first hour of availability. Gift sets sold out soon after but were restocked in mid-September — before selling out again. The game’s wide release was on September 1 but stock has still been limited. The rarest cards are selling for upwards of $1,000.

“To address increased demand following the game’s initial launch, in September Ravensburger announced plans to reprint the first set of the Disney Lorcana TCG, The First Chapter,” Ravensburger said in their new statement. “The reprint will also include the second set of the game, Rise of the Floodborn, and is expected to be available by Holiday 2023 in North America and by January 2024 in Europe.” 

Previously, Ravensburger had announced the reprint would be available in Q1 of 2024. Ravensburger did not mention the booster products also set to arrive at stores in October 2023, but we still expect these products to be made available.

ComicBook.com asked Ravensburger about the size of the reprint. Co-designer and Senior Brand Manager Ryan Miller said, “We cannot discuss quantities, but our goal has always been to get as much product into the hands of fans as possible, and we are continuing to work with our suppliers to increase production to better meet demand as quickly as possible. I can confirm that the reprint will include both starter decks and booster packs.”

ComicBook.com also asked about how stock would be allocated between local game stores and mass retailers. Miller said, “While we can’t discuss the allocation split, supporting Independent Hobby retailers with Disney Lorcana TCG continues to be our #1 priority.”

Disney Lorcana: Rise of the Floodborn will be released to game stores on November 17 followed by a wide release on December 1. Read more about Rise of the Floodborn:
