A new Disney100 Kate Spade collection was released at Disneyland Resort this week. The collection includes three bags and a wallet. It’s available in the Dress Shop in Downtown Disney District.
Disney100 Kate Spade Crossbody – $328
The bags have a black flower pattern against a white background. Minnie and Mickey are pictured against the pattern, wearing their iconic red outfits with yellow shoes.
The crossbody is rectangular, with black leather around the edges.
It has a two-sided pocket with one zipper.
It includes a black leather strap.
Disney100 Kate Spade Wallet – $188
The wallet has Mickey and Minnie holding hands on one side.
It has a zip-up coin purse on one side and a silver snap.
There is a bill pocket and several card holders. The interior is black leather.
Disney100 Kate Spade Backpack – $378
The backpack has a red stripe down the front, through the flower pattern.
Mickey and Minnie are at the bottom of the stripe.
It has a flap over a black drawstring enclosure.
There’s a zip pocket on the back. It has a black leather handle and adjustable straps.
The flap snaps shut.
The interior is solid black.
Disney100 Kate Spade Tote Bag – $348
The tote also has a wide red stripe with Mickey and Minnie at the bottom.
It includes a black leather Kate Spade tag.
It has two long over-the-shoulder handles.
There’s a zipper over the pocket.
The bottom has a flat black leather piece with four short metal legs for easily setting the bag down.
This collection is also available at Walt Disney World.
Disney 100 Years of Wonder
Disney’s 100 Years of Wonder (or Disney100 for short) is being celebrated across the world at Disney Parks and Resorts.
The 100 Years of Wonder celebration began at Disneyland Resort with “Wondrous Journeys” at Disneyland and “World of Color – ONE” at Disney California Adventure. There is a platinum Mickey statue (which initially had to be fixed because the Walt Disney quote on the base was incorrect) and a platinum Minnie statue in Disneyland.
EPCOT debuted several Disney100 offerings recently. At the Magic Eye Theater, guests can meet Mickey and Minnie in their platinum 100th anniversary outfits. At night, Spaceship Earth lights up with a special Disney100 spectacle of light. There are also Disney100 decorations, a platinum Mickey statue just like the one in Disneyland, and a mural full of Disney characters.
All Cast Members and employees of The Walt Disney Company will be receiving commemorative platinum nametags.
Ravensburger will release a Disney100 edition of Disney Lorcana.
The actual 100th anniversary of The Walt Disney Company is October 16, 2023.
