PHOTOS, VIDEO: Tour the New Great Maple Restaurant, Now Open in Disney’s Pixar Place Hotel at Disneyland Resort

Disney’s Pixar Place Hotel has opened its flagship restaurant, Great Maple Modern American Eatery, to guests at Disneyland Resort. We were there on the restaurant’s opening night to check out the new space.

Great Maple Modern American Eatery

Upon entering the restaurant, guests will immediately come upon the check-in desk, which has a large light fixture overhead. Two potted shrubs bookend the entry doors.

The bar has lighting that reads “Modern American Eatery” positioned over two TVs and various shelves of alcohol. The seats are a green-gold, with blue paint accenting the light color palette under the bar.

Seating in the restaurant is mostly a dark green shade, paired with dark brown wooden tables. Imagery of maple trees is present throughout the seating areas.

Guests can sit in booths right by the kitchen area, which is covered by frosted windows with various designs on them.

This frosted window says, “Donut forget dessert!”

The exit door here is also completely frosted.

During the restaurant’s opening weekend, guests can enjoy this chocolate bar, with a full spread of various sweets.

The included napkins have the restaurant’s name and a maple tree printed on them.

This offering is available for the restaurant’s opening weekend only.

Even this display with the restaurant’s name is made out of chocolate.

As this restaurant is located in Disney’s Pixar Pier Hotel, various black and white framed “photos” of Pixar characters are hung throughout the dining area.

Representing “Ratatouille,” a trio of images featuring Remy, Colette, and Anton Ego are on display.

In another area are framed images of Frozone and Mrs. Incredible from “The Incredibles.”

We also spotted photos of Jessie and Buzz Lightyear from the “Toy Story” films.

Seating for the restaurant is a combination of booths and tables, as well as bar seating.

Here’s another look at the bar.

There is also specified seating here for guests in wheelchairs.

Another section of the restaurant has various plants above guests’ heads and behind them in the booths.

In front of this seating area are glass-paned garage-style doors, which were closed for the opening party and weather during our visit. They do open as you would expect.

A coffee service area for servers is nearby.

Next to it are black and white framed images of Miguel and Dante from “Coco.”

We also spotted this postcard-style “Greetings from Great Maple California” art hanging on one of the restaurant’s walls.

This seating area is located beneath two large windows. Guests can choose to sit in standard chairs or on the green benches.

A large detail of Great Maple’s icon is on one of the windows.

The view looks out to a plain white wall and hallway in Pixar Place Hotel.

Outside the restaurant is a small waiting area with multiple long benches for guests who arrive too early for their reservations or are hoping to get on the walk-up list.

The menus are framed in this area for easy reference.

Lastly is the outdoor patio area, which was closed due to the rainstorm that took place during our visit.

It includes a fire pit in the shape of a maple leaf.

Great Maple Modern American Eatery is now open to guests at Disneyland Resort for walk-up dining only. Reservations were previously announced to be ready by Tuesday, November 21, but a manager told us that they hope to offer this by Saturday, November 18 — just a few days earlier than expected.
