New ‘Elemental’ and Light-Up Disney100 Ear Headbands at Disneyland Resort

Two new ear headbands, one inspired by Pixar’s “Elemental” and another by the Disney100 celebration, are available at Disneyland Resort.

“Elemental” Ear Headband – $34.99

We first found this ear headband in Pioneer Mercantile at Disneyland Park. It’s inspired by the main characters of “Elemental,” Ember and Wade.

The ears and the outside of the headband are covered in purple pleather material.

Ember is pictured on one ear, with a lick of flame around the outside edge.

Instead of a bow, a wave and flames are in the center between the ears.

Wade is on the other ear, with water curling around the edge.

The inside of the headband is lined with blue fabric.

The backs of the ears and the headband are patterned with element-related symbols: clouds, fire, plants, and water drops.

Pixar’s “Elemental” is directed by Peter Sohn, who previously directed “The Good Dinosaur.” Sohn drew on his youth as a child of immigrants growing up in 1970s New York City for the story of “Elemental.” The first full trailer for “Elemental” was released in March. It will be in theaters on June 16, 2023.

Light-Up Disney100 Ear Headband – $23.20

We found these light-up Disney100 ears in The Star Trader at Disneyland Park and in World of Disney at Downtown Disney District.

They’re made of plastic and painted platinum, with “Disney100” in white on the center top of the headband.

Minnie is pictured in one ear, while Mickey is pictured in the other — both wearing their special Disney100 outfits.

The ears are lined with art deco designs, and an art deco piece sticks out of the center of the headband.

The button and battery compartment are hidden behind the art deco piece on the headband.

There is one light-up setting, which has lights blinking in the ears, illuminating Mickey and Minnie and creating sparkles in their outfits.

The backs of the ears are solid silver.

Disney100 Celebration at Disneyland Resort

The 100 Years of Wonder celebration is in full swing at Disneyland Resort, where guests can enjoy “Wondrous Journeys” at Disneyland and “World of Color – ONE” at Disney California Adventure. The platinum Mickey sculpture at EPCOT will presumably be the same as the one at Disneyland, which had to be fixed because the Walt Disney quote on the base was incorrect. Disneyland also has a platinum Minnie statue.

Disneyland Resort is offering the “Celebrating Disney100 at the Disneyland Resort” guided tour, including a walk through both parks, the drawing experience at Animation Academy, a digital download of a photo taken in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, a Disney100 snack, reserved viewing for “Magic Happens” parade, and a limited-edition pin.
