Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit, a popular Disneyland Resort activity, will be returning to the park this fall.
Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit
Disneyland Resort revealed that Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit would be returning in a recent Instagram post. The scavenger hunt activity gives guests the opportunity to purchase a game board, locate and check off hidden pumpkins throughout the Downtown Disney District, and then trade in their completed map for a prize.
This year’s prizes include character Halloween candy bucket sippers in the likenesses of Stitch, Pluto, Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy. Each sipper has ears on the sides of the pumpkin to match the characters painted onto the sippers themselves.
In their Instagram post, Disneyland said:
Carve out some time for fun and join Pluto on the search for thirteen-character themed pumpkins throughout the Downtown Disney District starting September 8 ’til November 1, 2023.
Other Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit News
Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit has made its way across the country to Walt Disney World Resort in EPCOT, giving scavenger hunt enthusiasts multiple opportunities to explore Disney Parks and win prizes. Last year was the inaugural season for the Walt Disney World version, which was initially delayed due to Hurricane Ian.
We’ve already shared the locations and prizes for the hunt at EPCOT, but if you’d like to plan ahead for potential hiding spots, we shared locations from the Downtown Disney District in 2022 and back in 2021.
Other Disneyland Halloween News
This scavenger hunt of sorts isn’t the only way you can bring in the goblins and ghouls for this Halloween. It may be only mid-August, though Disneyland is fully in the swing of Spooky Season with merchandise and entertainment offerings only available throughout the fall.
If you’re headed out to explore the parks and check out all the Halloween decor, you may want to stop in for a spell at Cafe Orleans, where there’s a limited time prix fixe meal celebrating the Haunted Mansion.
Since Oogie Boogie Bash is now completely sold out for the 2023 season, guests will have to enjoy one of the other spooky offerings still available across the resort. “Wondrous Journeys” will have its final 2023 performance on August 31 to make way for the Halloween season.
“Halloween Screams” is a nighttime spectacular performed at Disneyland Park during the fall, and will be returning on September 1. The show features characters from “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” as well as classic Disney Villains like Ursula and Cruella de Vil.
“The Nightmare Before Christmas” characters also make their home in The Haunted Mansion at Disneyland each year for the Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay.
